Bisschen abgehoben, aber sehr sympathisch: Die Liga der gewöhnlichen Gentlemen. Am 9. Juli ist ihr neues Meisterwerk "Gschichterln aus dem Park Café" erschienen. Was für eine Platte! Kids und Presse diggen Songs wie "Rebekka will ihr Rad zurück", "2020 - Das erotische Jahr" oder auch "Männer mit schönen Haaren" gleichermaßen. All Killer no Filler. Mit dem Album schreiben sie Musikgschichterl. Hört und streamt oder kauft (wäre uns doch am liebsten) HIER oder besucht den Schallplattenladen an der Ecke und sagt am Verkaufstresen leise "DLDGG"!

Letzte Woche erschien mit „Es ist nett, nett zu sein“ die erste Single vom neuen am 09.07. erscheinenden DLDGG-Album „Gschichterln aus dem Park Café“. Und gleich einem Nüsse sammelnden Eichhörnchen vorm nahenden Herbst, sammelte dieser Song schon etliche Likes, Herzchen und Plays ein. Wahnsinn, vielen Dank, sehr nett! Aber wie der digitale Volksmund sagt: „Video, or it didn´t happen!“ Hier nun das Video zum Song. „Moment!“, wird man sich beim Anschauen des stylischen Kurzfilms fragen, „Habe ich etwa einen im Tee? Ich sehe ja doppelt!!“ Mitnichten haben Sie einen im Tee, obgleich es Ihnen natürlich gegönnt sei, aber sie sehen tatsächlich doppelt, spielen doch die 5 Gewöhnlichen zunächst sich und dann auch noch sich selbst. Genial. Und so effizient! Außerdem gibt es zum ersten Mal in der Video-Historie dieser Band eine Schlägerei zu sehen. Gewalt und Pop was für eine Mischung. Nicenstein!

The new URLAUB IN POLEN album All is out now. All is probably their most formally coherent album so far, but it is nevertheless anything but a work of genre: What the songs on All have in common is an architecture evoking Krautrock, developing sprawling synthesizer and guitar workouts on the foundations of finely woven rhythm arrangements. The echoes of West Coast Pop (the harmonies and the bass!), of Rhineland Tech House and of early Dire Straits (the vocals and the guitar production!) make All a characteristically versatile and international affair.
